Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture must fulfill requirements I, II, and either III.A, III.B, or III.C, along with the foreign language/global studies component for the major#. The Agriculture major offers three specialization paths: Agricultural Business, Agricultural Science, or Agriculture Teacher Education. Each option allows students to select a technical competency or focus area. The bachelor's degree requires a minimum of 120 semester hours. No more than 6 semester hours of unstructured courses (AGRI 200, 301, 400, 481, 499) can apply toward the major. At least 24 semester hours of Agriculture coursework must be completed at WIU or another four-year institution. A maximum of 29 semester hours may be allocated to courses typically associated with traditional business majors or minors (including Accountancy, Business Law, Business and Technology, Decision Sciences, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management).
