The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures provides a Bachelor of Arts program in Foreign Languages and Cultures, featuring concentrations in French, Spanish, French Teacher Education, and Spanish Teacher Education. Students can also pursue minor studies in French or Spanish. Language education encompasses both linguistic instruction and exploration of the literature and cultures associated with these languages. This comprehensive approach equips graduates for further academic pursuits in literature or linguistics, as well as diverse career applications in business, government agencies, law enforcement, cultural institutions, healthcare, tourism, and other fields serving multicultural populations.
