Explore Medieval Literature. Environmental Writing Studies. Discover Irish Modernism. Biblical Literary Analysis. These represent a sampling of our recent course offerings. As an English student, you'll engage with critical theory while examining diverse fictional and non-fiction works. Your academic journey might involve analyzing Chaucer's classics, exploring contemporary film theory, or delving into African American literary traditions - all while drawing connections to historical, legal, and interdisciplinary perspectives. Above all, you'll develop the ability to craft eloquent, convincing, and nuanced written work.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
