The School of Dentistry, along with its Department of Restorative Dentistry, provides an advanced academic and clinical program culminating in a Master of Science degree. This intensive course demands at least thirty-four months (spanning three academic years plus two summers) of full-time study at the dental school. The curriculum prepares dental professionals for specialized careers in prosthodontic practice, education, and scientific investigation. The prosthodontics training combines foundational dental sciences with hands-on clinical experience, covering comprehensive denture techniques, removable and fixed partial dentures, maxillofacial prosthetics, and implant dentistry procedures. Through a carefully designed sequence of theoretical and practical courses, students acquire the expertise needed for specialized prosthodontic practice, academic instruction, and research endeavors. Graduates become eligible to pursue certification through the American Board of Prosthodontics. Earning the Master of Science degree additionally requires completion of an original research project, documented through a formal thesis.
