The Cultural Resource Management Certificate Program (CRM) operates under the Department of History in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. This fifteen-credit graduate certificate enhances various graduate degrees at West Virginia University and is also available as a standalone option for non-degree students. We collaborate with WVU departments and local groups to provide meaningful services throughout the state and surrounding areas. Participants in our program and our partners represent diverse backgrounds with varied objectives. From documenting historic structures to researching local heritage, our initiative leads in both education and practical application within Cultural Resource Management. This curriculum supports those aiming for professional paths in heritage conservation, museum administration, art studies, public lands management (including roles with the National Park Service), creative fields, and numerous connected disciplines.
