For two decades, the WVU Department of Forensic and Investigative Science has stood at the forefront of forensic science education and research nationwide. Our faculty members bring together extensive experience spanning decades from forensic labs throughout the U.S. and internationally. Daily, our alumni contribute meaningfully to their fields. This accredited program equips students for sought-after careers in forensic chemistry and similar areas, emphasizing practical analytical techniques and instrumentation within forensic applications. The program's strong scientific foundation also serves as ideal preparation for advanced studies in forensic science, forensic chemistry, toxicology, and related fields.
