The Multidisciplinary Studies program combines three complementary minors, offering students the freedom to explore diverse academic fields rather than restricting them to a single discipline. This approach highlights the value of broad learning and interdisciplinary collaboration. The curriculum is designed for adaptability, merging focused expertise from specific fields with the distinctive capacity to examine challenges from multiple viewpoints.
Through community internships, students gain practical experience applying their minor concentrations to real-life situations while developing skills to articulate the benefits of their customized academic path using interdisciplinary methods.
While Multidisciplinary Studies students benefit from the extensive resources within Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, they have the flexibility to select minors from any college across the university. This distinctive structure enables students to leverage the exceptional expertise of West Virginia University's faculty throughout all academic departments.
