The Bachelor of Arts in Culture, Technology, and Environment is an interdisciplinary program jointly provided by the Humanities department within The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. This program encourages students to examine critical contemporary concerns from a humanities perspective, focusing on:
culture: fostering inclusive global awareness through cultural and linguistic studies
environment: tackling ecological crises like climate change, species extinction, contamination, and environmental equity using humanistic methods
technology: applying humanities perspectives to navigate the ethical dilemmas of our technologically driven society
The curriculum incorporates subjects from English literature, cinema and media studies, historical analysis, philosophical inquiry, comparative religion, and world languages. Additionally, students take foundational courses that offer theoretical frameworks and practical opportunities to analyze problems and create meaningful interventions.
