The Philosophy Department hosts a compact yet dynamic undergraduate program focused on student growth. We aim to deliver exceptional liberal arts education while leveraging the resources of a major research institution. Students learn to analyze philosophical questions, theories, and debates with both critical and innovative approaches. Coursework spans logic, ethics, political philosophy, legal theory, epistemology, philosophy of science, continental thought, metaphysics, historical philosophy, and philosophy of religion. The rigorous analytical thinking developed in philosophy courses offers excellent preparation for diverse careers in law, business, medicine, journalism, and beyond.
