The Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Leadership and Administration equips students to fulfill the School Leader K-12 certification standards set by Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). This program utilizes a cohort-based approach with collaborative learning, focusing on leadership through an equity lens to address disparities related to race, disability, socioeconomic status, language, gender, sexual identity, and religion.
Participants engage in coursework, internships, and a culminating capstone course. The capstone involves evaluating a portfolio showcasing the student's demonstrated skills from fieldwork and other competency-based achievements.
CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation) accredits this MA program in educational leadership and administration.
