Welcome to Wayne State University's Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program, established in 1944 as one of the nation's pioneering programs. Beyond its distinguished legacy, the program benefits from its location on the medical campus of a top-tier research university, offering students outstanding educational resources, renowned faculty, and cutting-edge teaching and research facilities. Transitioning from a 3+2 format in 2020, the program now requires applicants to hold a bachelor's degree for admission to the full master's program.
Wayne State's Occupational Therapy program is committed to delivering an exceptional education that produces highly competent practitioners, fostering impactful research to advance the field, and collaborating with like-minded organizations to enhance individual and community health. Located in Detroit's urban setting, we actively engage with our culturally rich environment, aligning all academic, research, and service initiatives with our College and University's guiding principles.
