The English Education Specialist Certificate is a 30-credit minimum program designed for those who already hold a master's degree. This standalone specialization offers unique credentials upon completion, differing from other graduate programs. Unlike simply accumulating post-master's credits, this is a structured curriculum focused on English instruction. The program concentrates on effective methods for teaching literature and writing in grades 6-12, with emphasis on language development, composition skills, and literary analysis. English Education programs are offered at bachelor's, master's, and PhD levels.
