The prerequisite for admission into the Ph.D. in Kinesiology include: 1) Undergraduate and master's degrees from nationally accredited colleges or universities 2) Verification of a faculty willing to serve as the major advisor from the division The plan of work for each admitted student is developed between the student and their major advisor with the goal of providing students with the most appropriate coursework and experiences to best prepare them for success in their future careers. Students work with a major advisor to design a tailored plan that incorporates major courses aligned with the student's career aspirations, 15 credits of Research Methods and 30 credits of culminating Dissertation. Coursework from previous graduate degrees may be included as major coursework upon discussion with the major advisor. The minimum requirements for the degree are 90 credit hours beyond the undergraduate degree. To establish English proficiency, you are required to submit an official qualifying score meeting minimum Graduate School requirements. The Graduate School's English Language Proficiency requirements are the absolute minimum, programs can set higher minimum standards. You are expected to meet the requirements set by your program of interest.
