Discover the extensive and adaptable realm of mechanical engineering with Wayne State University's Bachelor of Science program. The 123-credit mechanical engineering bachelor's degree comprises 35 credits from the university's core curriculum and 88 credits in the major. Foundational lower-division courses cover essential topics such as calculus, materials mechanics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. Upper-division studies delve into core areas like dynamic systems and controls, thermal fluids, and manufacturing and design. Furthermore, our comprehensive program integrates laboratory sessions and experiential learning, providing opportunities to utilize industry-standard equipment and computer-aided design tools with mentorship from our expert faculty.
Students must have completed a high school or secondary school academic performance.
English proficiency requirements:
TOEFL iBT and IELTS: Minimum scores of 79-80 TOEFL iBT and IELTS 6.5 are required for admission to Wayne State.
MET: WSU also accepts exam scores from the 4 skill Michigan English Test (MET). You must score a minimum of 64 on the MET.
Duolingo: You must score a minimum of 110 on the Duolingo test.
