Ecology & Evolutionary Biology explores environmental and wildlife biology. Grounded in evolutionary diversity, global ecology, and molecular, cellular, and physiological processes, this field examines life from ancient eras to contemporary times to forecast future biological changes. The biology curriculum centers on foundational courses in biochemistry, cell biology, ecology, evolution, and genetics. Students can choose from five specialized tracks within the biology major, each tailored to different academic interests. The general track offers maximum flexibility for personalized study plans. Specialized pathways in plant biology, entomology, and ecology and evolution guide students in selecting relevant courses to build expertise in these areas. The education track equips students for careers in secondary education, focusing on biology and related subjects.
