Adolescent studies equip you for careers in teen counseling services, youth initiatives, juvenile justice, and other fields centered on adolescents. This program explores the lifelong development of individuals and families, from childhood through adulthood, addressing challenges with empathetic, human-centered approaches. Our curriculum examines developmental changes across all life stages (childhood, teenage years, maturity). As an interdisciplinary department, we focus on human growth within family, educational, and community environments. Through instruction, research, and community engagement, we support the wellbeing of individuals and families in Washington state and across the country.
