The Evolution group comprises faculty specializing in population genetics, molecular evolution, genomic evolution, behavioral adaptation, and ecological evolution. These scholars investigate evolutionary mechanisms across diverse organisms including animals, plants, fungi, and viruses.
The Biology Department maintains specialized resources including a research greenhouse, the Wake Forest Herbarium, and advanced laboratories for evolutionary studies. Wake Forest University operates the DEAC (Distributed Environment for Academic Computing) High-Performance Computing Cluster, offering computational resources and dedicated technical support to all university researchers.
