The Associate in Science in Environmental Science for Transfer (AS-T) offered by Skyline College is designed for students aiming to transfer to a California State University (CSU) with a focus on Environmental Science or a related field. This program equips students with core Environmental Science principles and practices, building a strong foundation suitable for various scientific fields. Graduates will be well-prepared to pursue advanced theoretical or applied coursework in Environmental Science within the CSU system.
While AS-T degree holders gain guaranteed admission to the CSU system, specific campuses or majors are not assured. Transfer students accepted into a CSU program with this degree typically need no more than 60 additional units to complete a bachelor's degree. Note that this pathway may not be ideal for those targeting a specific CSU campus, a non-CSU university, or private institutions. For guidance on transfer admissions and requirements, students should meet with a Skyline College counselor. A minimum grade of C (or Pass for Pass/No Pass courses) is mandatory for all major-applicable courses, which may also fulfill general education requirements.
