Sponsored by Wake Forest College and the WFU Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, this accelerated Bioethics program enables students to obtain both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in just five years (10 semesters plus one summer). Qualified undergraduates can start graduate-level Bioethics courses early, significantly reducing the time needed to earn both degrees compared to pursuing them separately.

To participate, undergraduates must fulfill all standard degree requirements (typically 120 credit hours). Those who complete these requirements ahead of schedule and gain admission to the five-year program may take up to nine graduate Bioethics credits during their undergraduate studies. These credits will count toward the Master's degree, provided they exceed the 120-credit BA/BS requirement. Importantly, graduate credits applied to the MA cannot simultaneously fulfill undergraduate degree requirements.

Program participants complete four undergraduate years before transitioning to the Bioethics graduate program, which typically spans two semesters and a summer (especially for students who completed six transferable graduate credits as undergraduates). Since undergraduate and graduate requirements remain distinct, students receive their BA/BS upon completing undergraduate coursework, with the MA awarded separately after fulfilling graduate requirements. The program mandates enrollment in 700-level Bioethics courses, with all admitted students meeting specific criteria for undergraduate participation in graduate classes.
