Political science explores systems of governance, public policy, and political conduct. This field combines humanistic viewpoints with scientific methodologies to analyze political dynamics across the United States and worldwide.
Our program ranks among the university's most extensive majors, featuring globally diverse course options. Our dedicated faculty, who actively conduct research, strive to cultivate students' analytical thinking and writing proficiency through their instruction. While our courses draw numerous students, we maintain Wake Forest's hallmark intimate class sizes. Introductory courses generally cap at 30 students, advanced classes average 20-25 participants, and seminars restrict enrollment to 16 students maximum. We take pride in offering personalized guidance to each student. Exceptional undergraduates can participate in faculty-led research initiatives or pursue independent studies. Graduates from our program pursue careers in government, corporate sectors, legal fields, policy development, and non-profit organizations, both domestically and internationally.
