The Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences (CSES) graduate programs, offered through the School of Plant & Environmental Sciences (SPES), provide pathways to earn M.S. degrees (with both thesis and non-thesis options) and Ph.D. degrees. These programs aim to train students in cutting-edge theories and investigative techniques across various CSES specializations and allied fields. The curriculum combines coursework with hands-on research, integrating principles from both physical and biological sciences. Each student's academic journey is customized to focus on key departmental priorities: 1) agronomy, 2) crop genetics and genomic research, and 3) soil-water environmental studies in high-intensity agricultural systems. CSES graduate programs inherently foster cross-disciplinary learning approaches.
