All applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Students with a GPA below 3.0, but not lower than 2.75, and who have other experience or qualifications that demonstrate potential to undertake graduate studies, will be considered for provisional admission into our MACIS Program (does not apply to 152-Hour students).
Applicants may submit a scanned copy of his/her transcript(s) with their application. However, an official copy must be sent to the Graduate School once admission has been offered.
GMAT or GRE scores
GMAT requirement is waived for all MACIS and 152-Hour applicants, regardless of GPA.
International students may be required to submit TOEFL scores
If international students meet all of the admission requirements, except the minimum language test scores, we encourage applying for admission into the Virginia Tech Language and Culture Institute's AdvantageVT-Master's Program. Our ACIS department is a participant in the Program, which is designed to improve English proficiency prior to beginning coursework relevant to the master's degree in ACIS.
