The M.S. in Environmental Studies aims to deliver a research-intensive graduate program focused on environmental sciences. Graduates will develop diverse skills to foster a scientific comprehension of ecosystems and humanity's relationship with them. This master's program specifically equips students for science and policy research careers by requiring a final thesis project guided by a faculty advisor. Prospective M.S. candidates should contact potential advisors before applying to confirm lab availability and mentorship willingness. Beyond the core coursework, students must complete a Research Ethics class and minimum 6 credits in Research or Thesis work. Graduate-level electives can fulfill the 33-credit degree requirement.
