The B.S.Ed. in Elementary Education and Teaching degree aims to equip undergraduate students for teaching positions with young learners in pre-K through 6th grade classrooms, as well as community preschool environments. This program emphasizes building a strong knowledge base in child growth, educational psychology, and the influence of family and community on learning. Through carefully designed fieldwork and internships, students will gain experience teaching in varied classroom environments. Graduates will emerge as thoughtful educators with comprehensive knowledge of science, social studies, math, and literacy teaching methods.
