The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre program merges theatrical studies with a broad liberal arts education. Students can pursue minors in complementary fields or focus on specialized tracks like directing, playwriting, or theater administration. Our distinguished faculty includes award-winning professionals recognized with Tony Awards, Bay Area Theatre Critics' Circle honors, Hollywood Drama-Logue accolades, and numerous other distinctions. You'll collaborate with visiting artists and directors who are industry leaders while establishing valuable professional connections. Theatre program participants have contributed to notable projects including AMC's Turn: Washington's Spies, Lincoln, and Loving. Through our collaboration with Virginia Repertory Theatre, Richmond's premier professional theater organization, students gain exceptional opportunities. Graduates have secured roles at prestigious institutions like The Public Theater, Seattle Children's Theatre, Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre (D.C.), and Santa Fe Opera, along with appearances in productions by Netflix, FOX, Disney, and Paramount.
