The Visual Art program provides diverse courses spanning 2D, 3D, and time-based media. Students cultivate their unique artistic style by applying techniques learned in class, blending academic knowledge with the dynamic city environment. They collaborate closely with faculty who are actively exhibiting working artists. The program also facilitates co-curricular experiences where students can receive guidance from global artists and curators. This comprehensive educational model equips graduates for artistic careers. The Art and Art History department features a Visual Arts honors track. Juniors maintaining a 3.5+ GPA may apply for honors status during their senior fall semester. Honors candidates receive one-on-one faculty mentorship, must present an exhibition, and complete 10 extra credit hours beyond standard degree requirements.
