Vanderbilt Law School's one-year Master of Laws (LL.M.) program welcomes a carefully chosen cohort of international attorneys to master core principles of the U.S. legal system while studying with J.D. candidates. Our comprehensive course offerings enable you to tailor each semester's classes to your professional aspirations. LL.M. candidates can pursue a Law and Business Certificate, specialize in intellectual property, international, environmental or criminal law, or explore diverse legal practice areas.
The Vanderbilt LL.M. experience features a rigorous curriculum that develops both language proficiency and academic capabilities essential for thriving in an elite American law school environment. The program commences with a preparatory summer course at the law school - the Summer English for Legal Purposes (SELP) program - before your official LL.M. coursework begins.
