This program is structured to allow students to combine their studies with a minor in another scientific field, business, or a second major outside the natural sciences. Enrolled students must choose one of these options:
A secondary major in a non-scientific field,
The 32-credit environmental science complementary major,
A minor in a scientific discipline (eligible fields include astronomy, biology, computer science, engineering, geography, geology, mathematics, meteorology, physics, and psychology), or
A minor in business fundamentals, business administration, applied statistics, engineering, or geographic information systems.
Beyond fulfilling course requirements, Valpo strongly supports undergraduate research opportunities. Students have access to an extensive array of instruments for both laboratory coursework and research projects.
