Valpo's Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing program requires students to fulfill both the standard B.A. general education curriculum and specialized major requirements. The university's core curriculum enhances communication abilities and analytical thinking while exposing students to diverse global cultures. Creative writing majors must additionally complete either a minor in their selected discipline or opt for the expanded 40-credit English major instead of the standard 33-credit version.
