The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services, home to the Psychology Department, stands among the top 2% of graduate education colleges nationwide. Utah State University's Psychology Department provides both Educational Specialist (EdS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in School Psychology. The EdS program trains school psychologists for clinical roles in educational environments, while the PhD program develops professionals for research institutions and varied practice settings like schools, clinics, hospitals, and private practices. The curriculum emphasizes scientific problem-solving alongside comprehensive training in assessment, intervention, and consultation, with a strong focus on culturally aware, ethically grounded, and legally compliant practice within interdisciplinary teams.
