The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services, home to the Psychology Department, is among the top 2% of graduate education colleges nationwide. Recognized as third in the country for research funding received, this achievement was highlighted in U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Graduate Schools.
Faculty in the Psychology Department work closely with students on diverse research initiatives, ranging from parenting programs for Latino communities to treatments for anxiety disorders, early childhood cognitive development, substance abuse modeling in animals, and studies on impulsive behavior. Students frequently participate in national conferences, contribute to academic publications, and pursue grant opportunities.
Within the psychology department, the data science and research methodology specialization focuses on creating, implementing, assessing, and improving quantitative techniques for measurement, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
