A degree in Technology and Engineering Education equips students to become exceptional middle or high school educators, empowering them to cultivate technological literacy and technical competencies essential in our rapidly evolving society.
The accelerating pace of technological advancement and global interconnectedness has generated significant need for individuals who are technologically proficient, skilled, creative, and collaborative. Society relies on specialized educators to fulfill this need. Graduates of USU's Technology and Engineering Education program are in high demand, achieving perfect job placement in premier teaching roles at middle and high schools across Utah and the nation over the last decade. Most graduates secure multiple job opportunities even prior to finishing their student teaching. Program alumni with relevant capabilities and/or supplementary qualifications may also pursue careers in post-secondary education or corporate training. Some graduates continue their education through Master's or Doctoral programs.
USU students pursuing education degrees in other disciplines can enhance their career prospects by adding a minor in Technology and Engineering Education, which provides additional certification for middle school Technology Education.
