Our Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences (MCLS) Ph.D. program enables graduate students to pioneer research into cellular and molecular mechanisms, all while enjoying Laramie, Wyoming's scenic surroundings.
We maintain that advanced life sciences education shouldn't be limited by conventional disciplinary borders. Our cross-disciplinary molecular and cellular life sciences Ph.D. program involves over 30 faculty members spanning multiple colleges, including Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources; Arts and Sciences; Engineering and Physical Sciences; and Health Sciences.
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. All applicants should have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale of 4.00)
Provide Official Proof of English Proficiency
The University of Wyoming accepts a variety of English proficiency exams. While the most popular are TOEFL (540 or 76 minimum for iBT), IELTS (6.5 minimum), Duolingo (110), and Cambridge English B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency (176 minimum).
