This program aims to enhance students' expertise in the water resources specialization within the master of science in civil engineering. Under Plan A, each student is required to complete at least 28 hours of graduate-level coursework along with a thesis (4 credit hours) to earn the master of science in civil engineering with a focus on water resources.
Students must achieve a minimum of 18 credit hours in graduate-level engineering courses, concentrating on core subjects in a specific civil engineering emphasis area. For this program, the core emphasis areas are hydrologic and hydraulic engineering. The specific courses for each emphasis area will be determined by the water resources faculty and approved by the Civil Engineering Graduate Committee.
