This undergraduate program provides initial teaching licensure (resulting in teaching certification). Students completing this curriculum receive a Bachelor's Degree in English Education along with a simultaneous major in English. The program equips future educators to teach English to middle and high school students (grades 6-12).
Completion requires at least 120 credit hours. All core courses demand a minimum grade of C. Most upper-level education courses, including EDSE 4500 Residency in Teaching, require a 2.75 overall GPA from the University of Wyoming. Content area courses need a 2.50 minimum GPA, with at least 42 credits at the upper-division level.
