The secondary education curriculum includes a series of teacher training courses along with general education prerequisites and a chosen specialization. Students may apply some of the Education Department's General Education Requirements toward UMBC's foundational requirements. Those pursuing secondary education should consult their academic advisor regarding major-specific coursework.
