The Communication Sciences and Disorders Program provides a Master of Science degree designed to equip graduates for professional roles as speech-language pathologists across diverse settings such as educational institutions, medical facilities, rehabilitation centers, long-term care homes, private clinics, and academic training programs. This comprehensive program generally spans two full years. Most students train for clinical practice in both educational and healthcare environments to enhance career adaptability, though some may opt to specialize in a single practice area.
The program features cutting-edge learning resources including a speech and language therapy clinic, dedicated instructional labs, and faculty research facilities. These spaces are equipped with advanced technology, specialized assessment tools for acoustic and physiological analysis (including swallowing evaluation equipment), and assistive communication devices. All students complete three semesters of clinical training on campus and may engage in research projects under faculty supervision, either through thesis work or other research opportunities.
