The Master of Architecture, the initial professional degree provided by the Department of Architecture, holds accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). This graduate program spans two to three years, varying based on the candidate's prior education and experience. Students can choose from diverse coursework, with specialized focus areas including architectural design, sustainable practices, digital fabrication, historic preservation, urban planning, and socially responsive design. The curriculum centers on design studio classes, each led by faculty who also teach specialized subjects. An optional study abroad opportunity enables students to earn credit while exploring global architecture under faculty guidance, with destinations changing annually. Participants are responsible for all travel and accommodation expenses.
