Math serves as the universal tongue of science and tech. Engineering, natural sciences, and even certain social sciences like economics frequently express their concepts through mathematical frameworks. Statistical and mathematical methods play crucial roles in disciplines not traditionally viewed as math-heavy, including biology, psychology, and political science. Certain learners enter mathematical studies aiming to teach at secondary or higher education levels or to conduct mathematical research. Others are drawn to math purely for its intrinsic qualities—its elegance, structured approach, reasoning, and problem-solving aspects. Meanwhile, some students engage with mathematics to gain more profound insights into their primary fields of study.
