A program designed for students pursuing worldwide careers in healthcare, international development, health policy, global health education, community health initiatives, and international health standards (eligible students may earn a dual degree from both the College of Letters & Science and the College of Health Professions & Sciences). The Global Health track equips students to adapt to dynamic settings and serve varied communities. Graduates will develop skills to address issues arising from increasingly interconnected geographic and cultural landscapes. This Global Health specialization is available as part of UWM's Global Studies B.A. program or as an independent certificate applicable to numerous professional paths.

Qualification Requirements

All applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency in one of the following ways:
An approved test score that meets the requirement for regular or conditional admission.
University study: Completion of at least 18 months of full-time, for-credit academic study (approximately three semesters) at a recognized or accredited institution of higher education whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM.
Secondary/high school study: Proof of completion of the last two years of secondary/high school at an institution whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM. TOEFL IBT - 79 or higher, TOEFL PBT - 548 or higher, IELTS - 6.5
