The Education Studies program tackles pressing issues in both national and international education systems and policies. Students develop into analytical thinkers who participate thoughtfully in discussions about educational practices and reforms. Throughout the program, learners will:

examine how education intersects with social equity and systemic disparities
analyze worldwide connections between schooling and other policy domains like urban development, public health, immigration, legal systems, governance changes, financial growth, and international relations
study modern educational discussions spanning preschool, primary/secondary education, university systems, and professional training
participate in hands-on learning through community projects, international programs, career preparation, practical internships, and academic investigations in education
have opportunities to secure funding for scholarly projects and recognition for exceptional writing, research, and community-focused academic work
develop methodological expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and historical approaches to investigate modern educational challenges and implement solutions

Qualification Requirements

Applicant must have high school record should demonstrate both rigor and breadth in the types of course work you pursue. A competitive academic record should show some of the most challenging advanced-level work offered at or through your school in as many areas as possible, while maintaining a strong GPA. The following chart shows the number of years that most admitted students studied in each subject area; English 4 years, Math 4 years, Social Studies 3-4 years, Science 3-4 years, Single Foreign Language 3-4 years and Additional Academic/Fine Arts 2 years. Applicant must have ACT score of 30 and overall SAT score of 1395.
