Earth science explores our planet and space systems, covering disciplines like astronomy, geology, weather science, and marine studies. Educators in this field need expertise in (1) scientific concepts, (2) modern understanding of teenage growth, and (3) contemporary teaching methods for secondary schools. The earth science education program therefore merges scientific coursework from various disciplines with professional training in pedagogy.

Future educators in this program gain the skills to effectively teach grades 5-12. The curriculum strengthens both scientific understanding and practical laboratory abilities. Our teaching courses equip students with active learning techniques, assessment strategies, and methods for supporting diverse learners. Aspiring teachers also gain hands-on experience through multiple classroom placements in area schools.
