The theatre arts program at UW-La Crosse provides a dynamic and innovative approach to undergraduate theater education. Our degree options offer diverse opportunities while enabling students to develop specialized areas of focus. We maintain an ideal balance between intensive academic coursework and hands-on production experience, fostering comprehensive learning with a strong emphasis on teamwork and artistic development. The curriculum features six specialized tracks: general theater studies, design/technical theater, performance, musical theater, stage management, and arts administration, plus a dance minor. UW-La Crosse students can combine a theater major with a complementary minor, expanding both their educational horizons and career prospects.

Our program prioritizes direct interaction with faculty, ensuring personalized guidance uncommon in larger programs. Alongside our permanent faculty, we regularly host visiting professionals from the theater world.
