Consider pursuing a microbiology degree. Microbiology explores microscopic life forms, their behaviors, and applications. Despite their tiny scale, microbes—including viruses, bacteria, archaea, fungi, protozoa, and algae—are ubiquitous and profoundly influence ecosystems and human civilization. These microorganisms affect health, medicine, and disease. They're essential in food production, pharmaceuticals, and biotech sectors. Additionally, they play vital roles in worldwide nutrient cycles and farming.
A microbiology degree opens diverse career paths and serves as strong preparation for advanced studies, including medical school.
