This program equips future educators to become versatile English Language Arts (ELA) instructors capable of addressing the diverse needs of middle and high school students. Faculty specializing in English education mentor students through challenging studies across various disciplines (such as literary analysis, composition, language studies, and teaching methodologies) while offering individualized support during field placements and student teaching. Notably, qualified graduates earn Wisconsin state certification for grades 4-12 instruction, and our program consistently achieves excellent employment outcomes for graduates.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
