At UWL, chemistry instruction combines cutting-edge lab research with real-world skill building. Students engage in scientific inquiry—crafting studies, analyzing findings, and sharing outcomes. They also develop essential workplace competencies like collaboration, effective communication, and critical thinking.
Chemistry examines matter—its characteristics, energy transformations, interactions, and reactions. Historically, the discipline comprises five core areas: Organic, Analytical, Physical, Inorganic, and Biochemistry. Numerous specialized branches also exist. Known as the central science, chemistry bridges physics with mathematics, connects biology to medicine, and links earth sciences with environmental studies.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
