The UWL Biology Department offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in life sciences. With cutting-edge tools and facilities for teaching and investigation, students can engage in research across multiple biological fields. Many undergraduates get to conduct their own studies under faculty guidance. The curriculum and research projects take advantage of our local natural resources - the Mississippi River and La Crosse River Marsh.
Biology examines all life forms, from tiny microbes to complex plants and animals. UWL's biology curriculum covers diverse specialties ranging from molecular biology to ecosystem studies.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
