Enrollment in UW's NELC Arabic and Islamic Studies Program has reached unprecedented levels. Our curriculum fosters a comprehensive grasp of the Islamic world by focusing on Arabic language mastery and broader Islamic cultural studies. Language instruction enables students to achieve advanced competency in both conversational and written Arabic. Tailored for undergraduates and Master's candidates, the program cultivates expertise in interpreting literary, religious, legal, and historical texts across all eras and Arabic-speaking regions.
