The MSE master's program offers a research-focused graduate education tailored for students holding a bachelor's degree in materials science, engineering, or similar disciplines. Graduates gain the skills to perform autonomous research and embark on careers across academic, governmental, or industrial sectors. Internship opportunities allow students to acquire practical experience while enabling companies to assess and develop future talent. With adaptable scheduling and a customizable final project, the program permits industry collaborations to satisfy degree requirements when structured with appropriate oversight from both employers and faculty advisors.
An eligible applicant to the Master of Science degree has earned a bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or physics from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent in a foreign country.
