The Master of Science (MS) in Architecture is an advanced research-focused graduate program designed to meet the growing need for research expertise in academic and professional settings. Our curriculum offers in-depth specialization in two key areas: design technology, and architectural history and theory.
Students pursuing the MS in Design Technology engage in practical, experiential learning focused on design, computing, and the constructed world. This program features a cooperative research-studio environment that encourages creative thinking and develops concepts to influence the evolution of design and digital technologies.
Those enrolled in the MS in History and Theory track analyze the architectural, cultural, and political influences that have defined built environments. The coursework strengthens research capabilities, equipping students for sophisticated academic work in architectural studies.
Throughout the program, students collaborate with faculty mentors to tailor their coursework to individual research goals and develop a well-defined thesis project.
